The magazine MOTORRAD and the TÜV Rheinland test the brand new SCHUBERTH SR2 as a test winner, after they have subjected a total of 14 top models of top helmets to a hard-hitting comparison test.
SCHUBERTH is regarded as a pioneer of folding helmets and therefore enjoys an excellent reputation, particularly among touring drivers around the world, with the many-time test winner C3 Pro. Especially recently, the German helmet manufacturer, with eye-catching innovations such as the adventure helmet E1 and the supersport helmet SR2, proves that he has a potential test winner for every motorcyclist. And the serial production of the SCHUBERTH SR2 had hardly begun, as the brand-new Supersport helmet had to face a tough comparison of the magazine MOTORRAD with the protagonists of the segment.
The current MOTORCYCLE edition 9-2016 gets a place of honor in Magdeburg, where all SCHUBERTH helmets are developed and produced without exception. This issue not only reveals that the readers of the magazine have chosen the SCHUBERTH brand as the "Best Brand" in the Helme category for the eleventh time in succession, but also that the SCHUBERTH SR2 has won the most elaborate helmet test of the year. The SR2 was designed for its outstanding aerodynamics with the maximum possible score and missed the maximum by only one point in the categories of acoustics, ventilation, weight and shock absorption. The SCHUBERTH helmet only missed three points in order to reach the HIC (Head Injury Criterion), which is regarded as ideal.
Overall, the SR2 was rated "very good" by the editorial staff and declared a test winner with 89 out of 100 possible points. A result of which Jan-Christian Becker, CEO of the SCHUBERTH Group, is enthusiastic: "Of course, we always look forward to a test victory. But when Europe's largest motorbike magazine, in collaboration with a renowned testing institute like the TÜV Rheinland, declares a SCHUBERTH helmet to be the winner, this is a very special award. Most of the reason for joy, however, is that all athletes who opt for an SR2, because they are encouraged to do everything right. "
Test report "PS" (edition 6-2016)
The Motorradzeitschrift PS and the TÜV Rheinland have jointly tested eleven current super sports helmets. The brand new SCHUBERTH SR2 achieved top results in nearly all of the criteria and was chosen as the clear test winner.
It has been almost a tradition that helmet tests are accompanied by tests and recommendations for SCHUBERTH helmets. But that a brand-new SCHUBERTH helmet like the SR2 wins two comparative tests in short succession immediately after market introduction, is also a novelty for the helm maker in Magdeburg. After the victory against the established competition in the test of Europe's largest motorbike magazine MOTORRAD is now followed by an even clearer point of the SR2 in the test of PS, the magazine for the "sporty fast motorcycling".
In the current PS issue 6-2016 it is documented that the SR 2 sets the standards in almost every respect. The SCHUBERTH Supersporthelm was considered for its absolute defenselessness with the maximum possible number of points and missed the maximum in the categories shock absorption and noise development by only one point. The SR2 was also at the forefront in the evaluation of aerodynamics, ventilation, field of vision, weight, fit / wear and equipment / equipment. Overall, he was rated "very good" by the PS editorial team after extensive tests in the laboratory and on the racetrack and declared a test winner with a total of 130 of 150 possible points.
Jan-Christian Becker, CEO of the SCHUBERTH Group, is pleased about the new top result: "The test results confirm that SCHUBERTH is always good for a test victory. This does not only apply to our latest innovations such as the SR2 and the Adventure Helmet E1. SCHUBERTH has a potential test winner for every motorcyclist. "
